One of the great Vaishnav Acharya, Srila Jagadanand Pandit, mentions in “Shriprem Vivarta” that human beings are generally possessed by the ghosts of Maya, false ego , the false self-identity.

This is because of their forgetfulness of their eternal relationship with the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

 

In order to remove these we must realize that the worldly objects are all temporary by nature. Be it a house or the family or wealth, whatever belongs to this world is temporary.

 

Simultaneously, we must lay emphasis on following our real objective i.e. devotion to the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna.
