A great Vaishnav saint, Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur mentions in ‘Vaishnava Siddhanta Mala’ that one may question – If pastimes of Supreme Lord Sree Krishna are beyond the comprehension of material nature, then how was He able to perform His pastimes 5000 years ago in this very material world?

He explains that Sree Krishna-leela is certainly beyond the reach of the material senses. However, by the power of Sree Krishna’s inconceivable potency, the incorporeal pastimes appear in the material world. Although it appears in the material world, it is not part of the material world.
